Q: In light of 11.11.11 and Veteran’s Day tell us about your favorite solider and how he or she is saving the world. Fictional or real life.

A. My husband is my favorite soldier.  He's currently serving the country while getting his MBA which is a nice break for us after two Iraq deployments, a year in Korea and many other separations.  This summer was the full summer first we've spent together and we've been together for over ten years.  He's in the acquisition corps, they do all the buying and selling and testing of military equipment and supplies.

I've been reading a bunch of historical novels that took place during World War Two and I'm amazed at how much harder it was for those women left behind.  I don't know how they did it.  Without regular mail or calls and not knowing when their soldiers would be home or even if they were safe.
